Biography
Dear Youth is Jared Zuckerman (vocals), Brendan Pilon (guitar) and Devon Cleary (drums), formed in Montreal, Canada in 2016. The band built a following on pop-punk urgency with the 2018 EP You Could Wish Me The Best and the full-length Heirloom.
The band that finished the Heirloom cycle was not the band that started writing again. The songs took a different shape, and the demos went to Los Angeles, where producer Stefano Pigliapocco worked on creating space between the parts and polishing the sound.
Where You Haunt Me: Part 1 introduced that band in October 2025. Shimmering guitars and steady drums under writing that turned inward. Lush chords, echoed melody lines, a cinematic openness the old records never left room for. Those who had followed Dear Youth since 2018 heard a reinvention and said so: the melodic hunger and the earnest delivery survived the move, and what grew around them was a band sounding surer of itself than it ever had.
Part 2 turns the record over. Part 1 lives inside the haunting. Part 2 admits who caused it. The hooks land and what sits under them goes darker: minor keys, synth beds that stop holding back, more guitars, choruses that arrive with weight behind them.
Together they make one record about the people who stay with you after they leave, and about being that person for someone else.
Where You Haunt Me: Part 2 is out now on Adventure Cat Records.
